Gavin is also a bestselling author of "The Potential in Every Child" and a children's author with books focusing on life skills. His dedication to promoting education equality has led to him being recognized as one of the top ten most influential global educators in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, and he was nominated for Australian of the Year in 2018.
